Description

An unusual and rare pair of French faience serving dishes manufactured by Sèvres in the early 19th century. These round platters are decorated with a charming series of musical instruments and bird baths around the rim, all bordered with fine black detailing.

The reverse bears a hollow “Sèvres” signature along with a stamp from 1808–1815, dating the pieces to the Clavareau period of production. Collectors prize this rare combination of artistry and provenance, making the pair a beautiful acquisition for both display and use.
